About us

Ulyssix Technologies, Inc. is dedicated to providing high quality, innovative DSP-based communications products to the telemetry and satellite communications markets. Our skilled staff has been pioneering creative DSP based solutions since 1982. Ulyssix is committed to providing leading edge hardware and software solutions and exceptional long-term support. In recent years, we have seen a disturbing trend in the telemetry community. Suppliers have decided that certain segments of this market are not worthy of their time and effort. The result is that test engineers are forced into implementing technologies and products that do not perfectly satisfy their requirements. Ulyssix Technologies was founded in 2000 on the guiding principle that the test engineer should be the one who defines the products needed and Ulyssix will provide the solution.

Our Focus

Ulyssix is focused on the development of board level products for the telemetry community. These types of products can be easily installed into an existing host computer eliminating the need for additional portable or rack mount equipment. They also provide high speed access to digitized data from the bus for analysis or storage. Our current product offerings, including Receivers, Bit Syncs/Frame Syncs, PCM Decommutators, Simulators, and legacy Digital Baseband FM Demodulators which are described on the Products Page of the website. These products were developed taking direction from the input we have received from our customers. The course of future product development will continue to be charted by the Ulyssix customers.

This 3rd generation demodulator board is powered by a INTEL Arria V FPGA where the FPGA firmware is user reconfigurable using Ulyssix supplied FlashBurn software. Ulyssix setup software comes with the card for ease in setup, storage and recall of previous configurations.

The Syrinx3 Demux Digital Demultiplexer System is a DSP based FM demultiplexer system designed around the Syrinx3 Dual FM Demodulator card.  The system can support from two to twelve FM channels in a single 3U chassis.  An optional Hallux3 DAQ12 card digitizes the down-converted signals and outputs a digital PCM stream for digital re-transmission or storage. An optional Hallux3 ModCal twelve channel calibration card can be added to the system for a complete telemetry FM solution.
